Mrs. Connie L. Healey, 85, of Galesburg, went home to the Lord at 9:15 am Friday, December 12, 2025, at Seminary Manor Nursing Home.

Connie was born on September 19, 1940, in Abingdon, Illinois, the daughter of Harold R. and Mildred M. (Trimble) Moore. She met the love of her life, Gerald D. Healey and they married on January 30, 1959, in New London, Missouri. Gerald preceded her in death on July 8, 2008.

She went to Galesburg High School and graduated with the class of 58'. Connie worked as a clerk for the True Value Hardware Store for ten years and retired in November of 2001. She was of the Methodist faith and was a devoted member of the Emmanuel Methodist Church in Galesburg for many years.

Surviving is her children, Gregory Healey of Galesburg, Gail (Jim) Coffman of Maquon, Illinois, Deborah "Sue" Wark of Plano, Texas, and Sherry Healey of Hopewell, Illinois. Also surviving are her eleven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren. Aside from her husband, Connie is also preceded in death by her parents, a son, Stephen Healey, her four brothers, Rodney, Jimmy, Virgil, and Gary Moore, and her sister Margie Johnson.

Connie did much more than just work as a clerk and be a loving mother and wife. She was the president of the Church Women United and was a member of both United Methodist Women and the Christian Women's Club. Connie was a youth leader and a Sunday School teacher who loved to sing in the Church choir. Other memberships of hers included the Lion's Club, the Women's Relief Corporation, and the Pontooneers Cook Out Group. She was a very active member of the PTA, served on their board, and eventually received a Life Membership. Connie served on other boards such as Intouch Daycare, Salvation Army, and the Methodist Church. She volunteered countless places throughout the years helping her community.

Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 am, Friday, December 19, 2025, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 am at the chapel. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Continued celebration of Connie's life will follow her burial at Leiber's Boxcar Express where Connie played cards regularly. Memorials may be made to the Maquon United Methodist Church. I just found out about Connie's passing today talking to one of the people who we played bingo with at Wendy's in Galesburg every Monday morning a few years ago. Connie got that little fun group together and we all had a great time.

I only met Connie about a year ago. She played cards with my husband and the card club at Lieber´s Boxcar Express. She was the nicest, kindest and funniest person. She even stepped up to loan some oxygen equipment to my husband to take on a vacation. We could not have gone without her stepping up to help us. I am so sorry to learn of her passing. Thank you for the memories, Connie.

Connie was the sweetest, most kindest and funny person I´ve ever met. When I worked at Woodridge and she lived there, it was time that we played bingo together and we talked about playing bingo and she actually had a shirt made for me. I still have it to this day I love her. She will be missed by many she was always upbeat. Never said a bad thing about anyone. Connie, you sure will be missed?

My deepest sympathy. Connie and my older sister, Dixie St. George Quinn, were school friends. Connie was a lot fun to be around. Whenever she came to the house I knew there would be fun. I remember them telling me than when they were younger they would blind fold others and lead them around guessing where they were
At times if the blindfolded person was not someone that they didn't care for it is possible they were led into a tree or pole!!
I had ran into Connie several time a few years ago and we would talk about " old times". It was always great visiting with her.
