Connie Karbowski Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cochran Funeral Home - Livingston on Aug. 1, 2024.
Connie Elizabeth Karbowski, age 63, of Liberty, TX passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on July 25, 2024, after a year and a half long courageous battle with skin cancer. Through her cancer journey, she taught those around her what it looks like to live bravely and always with joy and a smile. She was known for her trademark spunk, even until the end. Connie will forever be a bright, guiding light to her family and loved ones.
Born in Dallas, TX on March 23, 1961, she was the daughter of the late Karl Terry Karbowski and Patricia Meadows (Walter/Sliter).Connie was the quintessential caring mother and creator of many magical moments for her family and especially her two children: Angela Romano and John Fellers Jr. She devoted countless hours supporting her children with their education, providing advice on personal situations, and through their countless hobbies. She was a devoted, loving mother and mentor. She taught her children love, compassion, honesty, pride, respect and what it really meant to be a good person. She was always available to provide advice and counsel on many of lifes struggles for her growing children.
Connie loved to help others, especially those in need. She would spend many countless hours with her boyfried Jerry, delivering trunks full of food to families in need all over Liberty and the surrounding areas, driving back and forth to restock. Proving much needed comfort and nourishment to those who would not get it otherwise. She was giving to a fault, but was never afraid to vocalize anything she thought someone needed to hear.
She had an unwavering sense of right and wrong and was never afraid to tell, even her children, when they needed direction. She was a straightforward person with a huge heart. In her spare time, Connie loved using her keen eye to find what may have seemed like junk at an antique shop, garage sale or swap meet and refurbish any item to something of much greater value. Connie also enjoyed arts, crafts, crocheting, and writing poetry, which she would often save in personal notebooks she kept.
Connie is survived by her loving boyfriend and partner, Jerry Fregia and by her children with former spouse (John Fellers); daughter Angela Romano (Fellers) and husband Noxie and their 3 sons Jacob, Bryce, and Noxie; her son John Fellers Jr. and wife Melissa and their daughter Mariah and son Johnathan. In addition she is survived by her siblings Carla Clifton of Rye, TX, Bruce Karbowski of Liberty, TX, and Diana Karbowski of Cleveland, TX.
Graveside services will be held Friday, August 23, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., at Bluewater Cemetery in Livingston, Texas.
