Connie Sue McBride

Connie Sue McBride, 73 of East Lynn, WV, went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 12, 2026 at St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 16, 2026 at Morris Funeral Home by Elder Tony Clay, Brother Tab Mathis and Pastor Kendal Brainard. She was born April 19, 1952 in Parkersburg, WV, a daughter of the late Jeannie Little McLain. Connie worked as an LPN at St. Mary's and later was a Paralegal Professor at Marshall University before ending her career as a teacher for Wayne County Schools. She was also a member of East Lynn Baptist Church, the Wayne County Farm Bureau and the Wayne County Cattleman's Association. In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Kevin Adkins. Survivors include her loving husband, Thomas McBride; her daughter, Jennifer McBride Adkins of East Lynn, WV; three grandchildren, Natalie Adkins (Tyler), Sarah Brooks, Aaron Adkins (Annabelle) all of East Lynn, WV; two great grandchildren, Owen Adkins and Alice Adkins; two sisters, Vicky Tanner, Beth Skarry, both of Parkersburg, WV; a brother, Jay McLain of Parkersburg, WV; two aunts, Karen Terry and Linda Little; an uncle, Norman Little; and a host of additional family, friends and neighbors. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time Monday at Morris Funeral Home, Wayne, WV. The family would like to express their gratitude to the Doctors and nurses at St. Mary's Neuro ICU.
