Connie was born in Clarinda, Iowa, to Harry and Erma L. Irwin Henneman on September 23, 1938, and graduated from Clarinda High School. She was united in marriage to Norman Otto on December 27, 1959. Connie worked as a secretary for Northern Natural Gas, Union Pacific Railroad and Enron. She formerly belonged to the Worldwide Church of God and currently a member of First Christian Church. She loved volunteering and helping others.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman; daughter, Norma Kathleen Otto; sisters, JoAnne and Marilyn Henneman.
Survivors include daughter, Dianne Alexander and husband, Merle, of Council Bluffs; son, David Otto and wife, Kristal, of Fort Collins, Colo.; seven grandchildren, Michael, Jennifer Roane and husband, Nathan, Daniel, Joseph, Kourtny, Faith, Olivia; great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Anna; sister, Deborah Davis, of Council Bluffs; seven nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.
Visitation with the family Tuesday, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral service Wednesday, 12 p.m., all at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Pastor Dave Erickson, First Christian Church, officiant. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at the Masonic Temple. Family has suggested memorials to the Michael J. Fox Parkinsons Foundation.
