Connie Phillips

Connie Phillips, age 74, of Marion, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at the Kobacker House in Columbus.
Born August 9, 1951, in Marion, Connie was the daughter of Charles and Dorothy (Williams) Deskins. She graduated from Pleasant High School and continued her studies at Marion Technical College. Over the years, Connie worked at Nature's and later in registration at Bucyrus Hospital, where her kindness and warm spirit were appreciated by many.
Connie found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She cherished long conversations on the phone with her friends and family, and her winters spent in Florida were among her happiest traditions. Above all else, she treasured her family. Being "Grandma" to her beloved granddaughters was a role she held closest to her heart.
Despite facing many health challenges, Connie met each one with strength, determination, and a sharp mind. She was a fighter to the very end, and now she rests in peace, reunited with her parents.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Jessica (Stephen) Sparks, and their daughters, Josslyn and Breanne. Also surviving are her siblings, Janet Gullett and Michael Deskins.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. at Waldo Cemetery, 141 Winter St., Waldo, OH 43356.
