Connie R. Johnson, age 67, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, in the care of Hospice of Dayton.
Connie was born on May 14, 1957, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Lonnie and Christine Boyd. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved traveling, dancing, shopping, listening to music, and spending quality time with her family.
She attended Dunbar High School and later earned her high school diploma. Connie worked as a dedicated medical assistant at Drew Health Center, where she served the community for many years before retiring due to illness.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Johnson; her son, Michael Johnson; and her brother, Joseph Boyd.
Connie's life and legacy will forever be cherished by her children: daughter Schmeka (Javon) Johnson, son Shuron Johnson, and stepdaughter Latrice Johnson; her sister, Kimberly Pritchett—all of Dayton, Ohio. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 1-2pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A memorial service will begin at 2pm at the Funeral Home.
