Connie Rene’ Coleman Buckthal, of Benson, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 1st, 2023.
Connie was born in Erwin, North Carolina, February 8th, 1958, a daughter of the late Ralph Dulion Coleman and Ruby Verl Coleman.
Connie graduated from Cape Fear Christian Academy and attended Liberty University. She taught as an elementary school teacher for over 30 years in Wilmington, NC. She was a fun, compassionate, and loving teacher, who blessed and enriched the lives of all her students. Her heart’s desire was to share the love of Jesus with the children she taught. She was a beautiful soul, with a great sense of humor, who loved to encourage others everywhere she went. She was always looking for ways to give to others and put a smile on their face. Her family and friends adored her, and she will be greatly missed.
She is the beloved sister of Theresa Coleman Mathews, Kay Coleman Boone and husband, John; beloved aunt of John Boone III and wife, Jenny; Gretchen Zuncich and husband, Joe “Sonny”; beloved great-aunt of Kaylianna, Caleb, Jace, Lydia, Ruby, Callie, Jacob and Jackson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Save Our Kids Outreach, Inc. 203 Marlowe Drive, Dunn, N.C. 28334.
