Connie Lee (Taylor) Sade 83, Springfield, MO. passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023 after a long illness. She was born in Rolla, MO. on July 3, 1940, to Mary Opal Southard and John Edgar Taylor. She attended elementary school in her earlier years, at Arlington, MO, and Newburg, MO. During this time, they lived in Arlington, MO. The rest of her life she lived in Springfield, MO. graduating from Central Senior High School, in 1958.
Connie's working career led her to work at Heer's Department Store, as a salesperson, she also worked at Three Sister's Dress Shop, Springfield Tablet Company, and Glendale High School. Connie came to know the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age, through Bible School and Summer Missionary in Arlington, MO. and through a Christian Grandmother and Mother. She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 11at Benton Avenue Methodist Church, and she was later baptized into the fellowship of Springfield Second Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Edgar and Mary Opal (Southard) Taylor
On March 28, 1959, she was married to Boyd R. Sade. Boyd survives her after 64 years of marriage, to this union a daughter Becky Bright (Roy) and a son Steven Sade (Heather) were born. Connie also leaves behind four grandchildren: Brandon Baum, Ashley Baum, Tanner (Holly) Sade and Taylor (Patricia) Sade and two great-grandchildren: Merrick and Maia Sade.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 17, 2023 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, with Chaplain Bob Elder officiating. No visitation or viewing are planned.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, in support of Connie's great grandson. CFF Gateway Chapter, 10900 Manchester Road, Suite #206, St. Louis, MO. 63122. Checks can be written to "CFF" with "Merrick's Crewsade" in the memo.
