Connie Snyder Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Homes and Hedges Cemetery - Camdenton on Mar. 2, 2026.
Connie Lou Snyder, age 81, passed away on February 24, 2026 in Camdenton, Missouri. She was born on October 30, 1944, in Buffalo, Missouri, to Howard and Leona (Williams) Means. She was married to Ralph D. Snyder and he preceded her in death in 1983.

A hardworking and fiercely independent woman, Connie spent most of her life as a truck driver - a career she took great pride in. Her strength, determination, and resilience were evident to all who knew her. She dedicated more than 11 years of service to Penske Truck Leasing before retiring.

Connie had a deep love for cooking and found great joy in preparing meals that brought her family together around the table. She also enjoyed fishing and camping, embracing the peace and beauty of the outdoors, including gardening vegetables and flowers and watching birds and squirrels. Above all else, she treasured time spent with her family and especially her grandchildren. They were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment shared with them.

Connie will be missed by her daughter Kathryn Dawson; grandchildren Chelsea Rusan, Dylan Dawson, Devin Dawson; a great granddaughter Gracelyn Deckard; nephews Jerry McGovern (Karen), John McGovern (Gail) and Jimmy McGovern (Anna).

Connie was preceded in death by her husband; and a sister Joyce McGovern. She leaves behind cherished family members and dear friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

Service arrangements will be announced by the family at a later date.

Though she is no longer with us in body, Connie's legacy of strength, independence, and love will live on through all who knew her.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Homes, 1270 S Business Route 5, Camdenton, MO 65020 (573) 346-2090. Condolences may be left online for the family at www.hedgesscottmillard.com.
