Connie Strain

Connie Strain was born LeBaron Ainsworth Cross on January 30, 1935, in Jackson, MS, though when she got to high school, she changed her name to Connie Cross. She passed peacefully from this world on November 30, 2025.

Connie was preceded in death eight years prior by her husband, Charles Richard Strain, known as Chuck. She is survived by her 3 children, Richard Strain, David Strain, and Susan Rayshell, as well as 3 grandchildren - Steven Rayshell, Brett Rayshell, and Alexandra Adams. She has 3 great grandchildren, Warren Rayshell, Emma Adams, and Zachary Adams. Connie was also loved by David Rayshell, Anne Strain, Callie Rayshell, Jared Rayshell, Kelly and Drew Kingsbury, and their children Ian, Immy, Iternity, and Isaiah.

Known for her feisty personality, Connie stood out in a crowd and was loved by those who knew her and cared for her. She had a fierce love for her husband, Chuck, whom she supported throughout their 23 years in the Air Force and after in their retirement in Madison, MS. She longed to be reunited with him and her Savior. Her prayers have been answered.
