Columbiana – Mr. Connie Jack Trantham, age 91, of Columbiana, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025, at Hospice House, Poland.

He was born on October 19, 1934, in Greeneville, TN, a son of the late Clinton and Mary Williams Trantham.

Connie was a graduate of Harrisville High School in Harrisville, MI, and had worked as a quality control engineer for Lordstown General Motors for 35 years, retiring in 1988. He was a lifetime member and 32nd degree mason of the Greeneville Masonic Lodge #3 F & AM and the American Legion Post #290, Columbiana. As a younger man, Connie enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, hunting, fishing and later, bird watching. He also enjoyed dancing with his wife and participating in dance competitions. Mostly, Connie enjoyed golfing. He loved to golf and had belonged to various golfing leagues over the years, including the Thursday Men’s Golf League at Valley Golf Club in Columbiana.  He will best be remembered as a very kind and outgoing man who loved his family greatly and never met a stranger.

His wife, Lois Mae Adams Trantham, whom he married on July 3, 1954, preceded him in death on, July 13, 2014.

Connie is survived by his two daughters, Catherine (Cleason) Scott and Constance Shingleton, both of Salem; son, Tony (Mary Ann) Trantham of Ravenna; several siblings; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a grandson and a great granddaughter.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, at 12:00 pm, at the funeral home, with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating.

Connie will be laid to rest with his wife Lois at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Leetonia.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting instead to please consider donating to Shriners Hospital for Children, 4400 Clayton Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri 63110.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
