Connor Evan Maxwell, a beloved husband, son, brother, and friend left this world unexpectedly on November 26, 2024 at the age of 23. Born on June 28, 2001 in Columbus, Ohio, he brought joy to the lives he touched and remained a beacon of strength and compassion throughout his time with us.
Connor's sharp mind and natural ability to lead and serve were evident from an early age, as he took on leadership roles at every opportunity. He was a leader at his childhood church, Chapel Hill Free Will Baptist, where he often opened service with Call to Worship. Connor graduated in 2019 from Grove City Christian School, where he served as the Senior Class President and Student Council President while also being a captain of the football team and achieving the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 136. He furthered his education by earning an Associate's Degree from Columbus State Community College in Electromechanical Engineering. Connor worked as a maintenance technician with Walor, formerly known as Hirschvogel Inc..
Those who knew Connor cherished him for his generous spirit and deep faith. He desired to help others achieve their goals, believing that true leadership is defined by serving those around you. Connor's warm personality drew people to him, and he enjoyed every moment spent with others, whether hiking, camping outdoors, or cheering for his favorite teams—the Cleveland Indians, The Ohio State Buckeyes, and any football and basketball team.
The love Connor had for his middle school sweetheart Bree was pure and unwavering. Their recent marriage on September 14, 2024, was a beautiful celebration of their 10-year long journey together and love that defined them. His family was everything to him; he cherished each moment with his loved ones, including his father Philip, mother Laura, sister Kelsey, and his devoted Pawpaw Charlie Martin. He also held dear memories of his grandpa Dwight Maxwell, and grandma Janice Dorr, in addition to numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends who were fortunate to be part of his life.
Connor loved classic movies and thoughtful readings, often spending peaceful moments immersed in his Bible. He approached life with enthusiasm and had an unwavering faith, inspiring those around him. He yearned to be a mentor and to give in any way he could, including worship for the Lord proudly and sincerely with his beautiful voice.
His passing leaves a significant void in the hearts of all who loved him, including the fond memories of his deceased family members: Mawmaw Wanda Martin, Grandpa Dwain Dorr, and Aunt Rachael Maxwell. They, along with Connor’s remarkable legacy, will live on in the hearts of those who knew them.
Join family and friends as they celebrate Connor’s extraordinary life. A viewing will take place at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Grove City, Ohio on December 4, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and a small prayer service will take place at the end of the viewing.
