Connor Wil Patterson, 26, of Columbia, South Carolina, died Monday, July 8, 2024, at his home.
Born Aug. 22, 1997, he was the son of Craig Patterson and Railynne Oetken Brown.
He was a graduate of Oakridge High School in Conroe, Texas, and was thrilled to be asked to march with the band in the Macy's Day Parade in 2012. He enrolled in the welding program at Southeastern Community College, attended Lincoln Tech in 2022 and was currently enrolled in Fortis College for Phlebotomy.
He was a member of Mediapolis Global Methodist Church.
Connor had an artistic and mechanical mind. He loved to skateboard and loved gaming. He could master all shapes and sizes of Rubik's cubes, and had quite the collection.
He was always thinking outside the box. He loved cooking and enjoyed tasting authentic and worldly foods.
Connor had a smile that would light up a room; he was very fun and loving and really cherished his time with his family.
He is survived by his parents, Railynne and John Brown and Craig Patterson; brother Colton (Adryana) Patterson; stepsiblings, Tanner Brown and Alyssa Brown; niece, Dani Patterson; nephew, Carter Patterson; maternal grandparents, Ronald and Janet Oetken, and paternal grandparents, Anthony and Diane Patterson.
He was preceded in death by his sister Brooklyn Patterson, aunt Julaine Oetken and uncle Ryan Dale Oetken.
The funeral service for Connor will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 19, at the Mediapolis Global Methodist Church. Burial will be held in Kossuth Cemetery, rural Mediapolis.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Friday.
