Connor Speedling Obituary

In Loving Memory Connor & Payton Speedling February 28, 2007 Forgive me, my sons Forgive me if I do not cry. The simplest reason that I know is Fathers are not supposed to cry. I figure you would expect me to be strong. To act as I would have taught the two of you. Forgive me, my sons if I do not cry, Forgive me if I do. CONNOR & PAYTON SPEEDLING Connor and Payton, you were special from the beginning. The surprises never stopped. We first found out we were going to be a mommy and daddy, then found out there was two of you. It may seem as though we never knew each other, but from the first time we saw you, there was a bond. The doctor pointed each of you out and printed your picture, looking at the screen as Connor laid peacefully and Payton punched away, we knew for being identical you had different personalities. In the time that I carried you, I felt Payton's strong moves against my ribs and Connor's smooth butterfly moves below my bellybutton. We heard your strong heartbeats and then heard the news, for reasons to be unanswered at this time, your bellies were filling up, your little feet were turned, and your spine did not form correctly. Not knowing how to go on, I delivered the two of you. We then saw little angels laying on my legs. First looking at Connor and seeing nothing but his daddy's features. Just as I thought our boys looked like their daddy, I saw Payton, he looked just like me. You both had long fingers and sweet little toes. As daddy and I left the hospital with a memory box filled with pictures, your clothes, blankets, hand and foot prints, we were very sad, it was not our boys we were taking home, but we know you both will be watching and giving us strength from above. As you entered into heaven and we lay your little bodies to rest, please, remember you will never be forgotten or replaced. Connor and Payton, you will always be loved by your daddy, mommy, grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles, all your cousins, and our wonderful friends. We love our "Angel Boys". Rest in peace. Love Mommy and Daddy. The twins are survived by parents Denise and Steve Speedling of Dexter; grandparents Randy & Susan Day of Earlham; grandparents Gary and Sandy Speedling of Earlham, and numerous other relatives.
