Connors Earl Murphy, 32 of Woodstock, passed away in his home unexpectedly on August 31st, 2024. Connors was born March 19th, 1992, to Lucy and Tim Murphy in Leesburg, Virginia. In 1994 the family moved and found their forever home in Woodstock, Georgia.
At age 5, he found sports, which became a competitive outlet for him. In addition to playing competitive soccer for many years, Connors loved basketball and golf. While he found golf challenging (humorously stating that he "wasn't very good"), he spent many happy hours with friends and family on the golf course. Connors, his brother Keegan, and his dad, Chief Grey Fox were in the Indian Guides for many years. It was during this time that Connors took up Taekwondo, ultimately earning a 2nd degree black belt.
Connors attended Bascomb Elementary, Chapman Middle School and graduated from Etowah High School. In 2016, Connors joined MadLife in downtown Woodstock, where he was head chef and ran the kitchen operations for 8 years. Connors was a fun loving and generous friend, co-worker, son, brother, uncle, cousin and nephew. He genuinely looked for the good in everyone, and believed in giving "second chances". He truly believed that "we all have a past" to overcome and we should not judge someone based on past mistakes. Instead, we should focus on the individual that they have become.
Connors will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Connors is preceded in death by his father, Timothy Daniel Murphy.
He is survived by his mother, Lucy Murphy; brother, Keegan (Reanne) Murphy; and his nephew, Brock Murphy; and many beloved family members and friends.
Memorial services will be held Monday, September 23, 2024, at 4 PM in the chapel of Poole Funeral Home with Pastor Sam McLeary officiating.
