Cono was born and raised in Teaneck. He was an avid baseball player as a young man and a lifetime fan of the NY Mets. Cono,W2ZMZ,was Founder and Club President of the United-States Traffic Net USTNET. W2ZMZ, now a Silent Key, touched many lives around the world.
Cono is lovingly survived by his wife, Irene; his son Sergio; his daughters, Diamond and Nicoletta; his brother, Cosmo; his sisters, Cathy Armentol and Lucy Ivarone; His daughter-in-law Jessica, Sergio's wife and his grandchildren, Derek, and Giada; He was predeceased by his parents, Sergio and Rosemary DelRosso and his brother Sergio DelRosso.

I never met Cono in person and only knew him from on air contacts with the OMISS radio net. I called him the "Sheriff" because one time while on the air he said he had to go next door and would be right back. What happened was a neighbor house was being burgled and he "persuaded" the perp to "lay down" while they waited for law enforcement to come. He came back on the air later on! LOL! 73 de Mike w7xtz
