I just found that CJ passed away. When I was just a kid, I would visit with him when my mom was there to visit Naomi and we would fly U-Control model airplanes in a field behind his house. Little did I realize that he would become such an accomplished artist. He must be a tragic loss to the art community. I used to get notices of new photography from him but I haven't in a while so I will miss that. My deepest condolences to his family.

CJ was the heart and soul along with Marcelle of the Louisville Photo community and the larger art community in Louisville. He will be sorely missed. I first met CJ when I dropped out of UofL to enroll in the Center for Photograhic Studies. I went there couple years and then returned to UofL to finish my degree. He led by example, always thinking , always making art. He was truly inspirational and I feel very fortunate to have crossed paths with him in my career as a photographer.
Rest in peace CJ.
