Every so often in life you meet someone passing through swiftly, but who is so unforgettably bright and vivid that when you think of them later you can't help but be reminded of a comet. That's how I'll remember Conrad Sanchez - blazing through his corner of the world leaving in his wake a trail of crafted buildings so handsome and unique that you knew even at the moment you first saw one that you were unlikely to ever see anything like it again. His talent was a rare gift to contemporary architecture, and his life was a rare gift to those of us who were fortunate enough to have known him, even if just for a short while.
Farewell Conrad - you may have passed through now, but the light you cast in this world will continue to glow for a long, long time.

We are fortunate ones by not only having the pleasure to meet Conrad but also to call one of his creations our home. We moved to our Conrad Asturi house 3 months ago. Having the opportunity to walk the property with Conrad and Edan was unforgettable, and gave us further appreciation for our home/"his baby - as he expressed. He delighted us with his creative-genius passion and inspiration for design - art, furniture, structures. Conrad did it all! Conrad left this world far too early but not without his words and fingerprints on cool designs large and small.

I met Conrad for the first time during an Open House for one of his beautifully designed homes in Pebble Beach. I will never forget how I met him- I drove my 1967 Mercedes 250SL onto the driveway and this man came up to my car and was greatly admiring it and kindly informed me where to park it in a safe location away from the other parked cars. He gave me the impression that he was an attendant assisting the real estate company during that open house but later, he admitted to me that he was the actual designer for the home. We both had a great laugh and in turn, I told him I greatly admired his design work for the unique homes he had built. Very pleasant person, as if I knew him for years. Very shocked to see he has passed away but through his architectural designs and his family, he will never be forgotten. God rest his kind soul.
