Constance Brodish Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Click Funeral Home & Cremations - Middlebrook Chapel on Dec. 30, 2024.
Constance "Connie" Maria Brodish, age 76, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Island Home Park Health & Rehabilitation Center in Knoxville. Smoky Mountain Hospice and the entire Island Home Park nursing and CNA staff, as well as administrative, kitchen, housekeeping and facilities management employees deserve special recognition for their empathy, compassion and kindness shown throughout Connie's time at their facility.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, and raised in Columbus, OH, Connie found her passion for creative expression at an early age. This flourished into lifelong personal and professional artistic endeavors such as painting, graphic design, drawing, watercolor, and home renovation, decoration, and photographic restoration. She was also an avid reader and Anglophile. Watching British murder mysteries will not be the same without her.
Connie's high school alma mater, Upper Arlington High School, and classmates held a special place in her heart and she worked tirelessly in later years to deepen and maintain those connections, running her class of '66 website and Facebook page.
Connie earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee College of Law at the age of 43, after graduating magna cum laude from the University of Tennessee.
Connie is survived by her brother, Jerome Brodish, MD, and sister Mary Dodd, numerous nieces and nephews, and her three children: son Sevan Takvoryan and daughter-in-law Stephanie Speckhart, daughter Emma Takvoryan and son-in-law Mike Kuczmarski, and son Aram Takvoryan. Connie's particular joy was to appreciate, enjoy and rave about the sporting, artistic and academic success of her four grandchildren: Stella, Ava, Giselle, and Nile Takvoryan.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Henry F. Brodish and Mary E. Brodish, and her niece Julie Dodd, brother-in-law Bob Dodd, and sister-in-law Carol Anne Brodish.
Family will receive friends from 10 - 11 am Saturday, January 4 at Church Street United Methodist Church on Henley Street in downtown Knoxville. A church service follows from 11 am to 12 pm.
In lieu of flowers, our family encourages people to make donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Connie's name.
