Constance "Connie" Doris Craig Butler, 83, of Northford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Connecticut Hospice, Branford with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 56 years to the late Mervin Butler, who was her true soulmate. The family is at peace knowing they are reunited. Connie was born in Manhattan, New York on March 12, 1942, and was the daughter of Lillian Neagle Belenardo and the late George Neagle. She had worked as a cashier in the cafeteria at Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield for many years. Connie enjoyed shopping, trips to the casino and spending time with friends and family, especially her dear friends Marty and Linda Cohen and their family. Her greatest joy in life was the time she spent with her grandchildren, whom she loved unconditionally. Mother of Todd Butler and his wife Linda, Deborah Butler and Kimberly Battista and her husband Louis. Beloved grandmother of Ryan, Nathan, Zachary, Megan, Todd, Pauly, Nicholas, Isabella, and Jonathan. Sister of Dorothy Franco and her husband Vincent and the late Robert Craig and Carol Buchanan. She is also survived by her beloved yorkie Honeylove.
The visiting hours will be on Tuesday, November 18th from 4 to 7 PM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A funeral service will be conducted in St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 1382 Middletown Avenue, Northford on Wednesday morning, November 19th at 10:00 Interment will follow in the State Veteran's Cemetery, Middletown.
