Constance Daigle Obituary

Constance "Connie" Landry Daigle, God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so He put His arms around you and whispered, "come to me." With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away, and though we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, a precious soul at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. Connie entered into eternal life on Monday, May 23, 2022, at Our House for Respite in Plaquemine at the age of 84. She was a native and lifelong resident in Port Allen. Connie was an RN who started her career as a nurse then went on to educate others in the West Baton Rouge School System and retired as the Director of Nursing at Port Allen Care Center Nursing Home. Visitation will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Brusly on Saturday, May 28th, 9:30 a.m. until Rite of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m., celebrated by Deacon Sammy Collura. Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum. Connie is survived by her husband of 20 years, Larry Daigle; children, Michael Titone and wife Darlene, Beth Haydel and husband Joey; two step-children, Lori Richardson and husband Barry, and Larry Daigle and wife Brandi; 16 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Margaret Landry. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, George Sr. and Marie Era Goudeau Landry; son, Kenneth John Titone and wife Kahne; siblings, George Landry Jr., Thomas Landry Sr. (Mamie and Lena), Larry Landry (Eve), and Georgiana Landry Bretz (James Balser and Harold Bretz). Connie was an avid Bridge player throughout her life. Connie was an active member and volunteer at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Brusly. She was a lector for over 40 years. Pallbearers will be Jason Titone, Erik Haydel, Beau Haydel, Cody Titone, Jacob Haydel, Easton Taylor and Brady Richardson. Please share memories at www.wilbertservices.com.

To Mrs. Connie children I'm so very sorry for the loss of a great woman. Mrs. Connie was the best teacher and friend that I ever came in touch with. She taught me so much abt nursing and today I'm very proud to say that I'm working in the nursing field and I loved what I do. She was truly the best teacher and instructor in Nursing. I'm praying for the family. Martha L. Johnson
