With gratitude in our hearts for the time we had, we are sad to share that Connie passed away on October 1, 2025 after a lengthy battle with dementia.
Connie was born March 12, 1941 in Rochester’s 19th Ward. She was the second child of William F. Farrell and Irene M. McLaughlin. She graduated from St. Agnes High School in 1959, then went on to Rochester Business School. She met and married John ”Marty” Hudson and had four children. Connie worked for many years at Genesee Hospital where she had many fans and friends. After retirement, she enjoyed wintering in Cape Coral, FL for several years and gave back to her community by volunteering at Rochester General Hospital.
She loved Rochester, but her time in the Adirondacks and at Keuka Lake held a special place in her heart. She also enjoyed visiting friends in Canada and traveled as far as Alaska and Ireland to be with her family. Connie will be remembered as someone pure of heart. She was a devoted daughter, a loving mother, and a doting grandmother. Her home was always a welcoming place for gathering and celebrating. She had a fun loving spirit, great smile, contagious laugh and a bit a feistiness that endeared her to others.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Eileen; and her son, Mark. She is survived by her children, Kathy (Jim) Howe, Michael and Carolyn (Jeff) Morehouse. She is also survived by her sister, Joanne (Steve) Mongeau; brothers, Tom and Bill (Brenda) Farrell; seven grandchildren, her nieces & nephew, many cousins and friends.
Family will receive friends to celebrate Connie’s life on Monday, October 6 from 4-6 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd. Prayers and sharing of memories will begin at 6pm.
The prayer service can be live-streamed below.
The family will be eternally grateful to the caring staff at St. Ann’s and the Leo Center. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donations to St Ann’s Community or a charity of your choice.
