Visitation: The family will receive friends on Monday, December 8th. from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Rd., Hurst, Texas.

Funeral: Tuesday, December 9th. at 11:00a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Colleyville, 1000 Church St., Colleyville, Texas. The Rev. Mike Dawson will officiate. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery in Colleyville.

Connie was born in Wichita, Kan., to Henry and Edna Creswell on March 16, 1931. She attended college in El Dorado, Kansas. She married her sweetheart, James Hampton, on January 27, 1951. Connie and her husband moved to North Richland Hills, Texas in 1967. She worked for Tyson Buick for a while and then worked for a different company in the SLC building in downtown Fort Worth before getting on with Bell Helicopter in Euless, Texas. Connie was a member of the First United Methodist of Colleyville for around 40 years. She sang in the church choir for many years. After she retired, she filled her time with volunteer work at Harris Methodist HEB hospital, at her church, Meals on Wheels, AARP, the Colleyville Senior Center, and the Parks & Recreation Committee for Colleyville. She truly loved her family and lived life to the fullest.

Connie was preceded in death by her son James; her parents; and her only sister and niece.

Survivors: Daughters Teresa Hampton, Sandra Ellis, and Janis Hodges, all from Colleyville. Grandchildren: Kerry Smithyman, Christopher Hampton, Chelsey Hodges and Jett Hodges.
