Constance Marilyn Harpe, age 84, of 780 Old National Highway, Pinehurst, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 23, 2025 in Brooklet, Georgia.

Connie was born on August 13, 1941, in Fayetteville, Georgia to the late Loy Harris and Sarah Glyn Carter Harris and lived a life characterized by devotion, strength, and unconditional love.

Connie was the most wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, loving every single person with her whole heart. As the youngest child in a large family, Connie learned early the values of patience, resilience, and compassion. These lessons shaped her life’s calling: caring for others with grace and without complaint. She poured her love into her children, always putting their needs first. Every morning began with a homemade breakfast before school, and every evening ended with a home-cooked meal, a clean home, and preparations for the next day—done quietly, faithfully, and with joy. She loved watching her son Kent during his football games and cheered on her daughter Kim as the assistant cheerleading coach.

Connie worked for many years at the Forest Park Police Department, where her dedication and intelligence were recognized and led to her serving as Deputy Director for FEMA, where she was responsible for training all personnel on emerging technology—an achievement she carried with humility and pride. She retired from there and moved down south to her resting place in Pinehurst. The simple life surrounded by azaleas, cotton fields, and her beloved cats was her happy place. She found joy in a house full of chaos, with kids running around getting dirty and all gathering to feast on her coveted homemade buttermilk biscuits.

Survivors include:
Son:  Kent Harpe (Vicki) of Brooklet

Brother:  Jerry Harris (Mary) of Fayetteville

Grandchildren:
Michael Harpe
Megan Smith (Josh)
Rebecca Hayslip
Kevin Harpe (Gracie)
Jessica Harpe (Jesse)
Cody Harpe

Great Grandchildren:  Kaeli Smith, Kailee Steward, Aubrey Hayslip, Landan Smith and Connor McKinney

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Eugene Harpe; her daughter, Mary Kim Harpe Gay and her siblings, Loy Harris, Jr., Joel Harris, Betty Harris Jordan and Martha Harris McClanahan.

Connie’s legacy is one of steadfast devotion, quiet strength, and a heart that never stopped giving. Those who were blessed to know her will remember her not only for what she did, but for who she was—gentle, selfless, and endlessly loving.

Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, November 29 in Vienna City Cemetery with Rev. Don Howell officiating.

The family will greet friends 12:30 - 1:45 PM Saturday, November 29 at the funeral home.
