Constance Miner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Simons Funeral Home, Inc. on Dec. 8, 2025.
Constance Irene (Jagerski) Miner, of Franklin Park, died peacefully at Allegheny General Hospital on Dec. 6, 2025, just two days before her 91st birthday.
She was born on Dec. 8, 1934 in Monaca, the daughter of the late Frank Joseph and Helen (Balysh) Jagerski Sr.
She was a 1952 graduate of Monaca High School and an alumna of a Pittsburgh stenography school in the 1950s and the Sawyer Secretarial School in 1985. Having been employed by Koppers Company in young womanhood, and then raising three sons, she returned to the workforce as a secretary and later office manager for the Pittsburgh Experiment, a personally fulfilling Christian ministry.
On July 6, 1957, she wed Odger "Wayne" Miner. They were married for 55 years and one day until his death on July 7, 2012. They traveled extensively, held season tickets to the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra Pops and enjoyed deep friendships in the Memorial Park Presbyterian Church family. As a widow for 13 years, she remained independent in her own home until the end.
As a wife and mother, she was "all in" – from driving to sports practices and games to musical concerts and plays, serving as Cub Scout den mother and Sunday School teacher, and everything in between. She and her husband were leaders in the North Allegheny Orchestra Parents Association in the late 1970s and she helped organize the Monaca Class of 1952 reunions. As a woman of deep Christian faith, she faithfully prayed and studied her Bible and read countless books seeking to learn more about the nature of her Savior. She had a peaceful, loving, non-confrontational and non-judgmental soul.
She is survived by three sons, Mark (Liz) Miner of Beaver, Scott (Alyssa) of Clarksville, TN and Eric (Lori) of Wexford, and six grandchildren, whom she cherished, Jacob (Ashley), Jordan (Anna), Joseph, Joshua, Avery and Emily.
Friends will be received 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Friday, December 12, 2025 and 10 a.m until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Simons Funeral Home, Inc., 7720 Perry Hwy., Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
