Constance "Connie" Murawski, 80, of Thompson, Conn., died Friday, October 17, 2025, at UMASS Memorial Medical Center - University Campus of Worcester, Mass. Constance was born October 26, 1944, in Jackson, Mich. She is the daughter of the late Nicholas P. and the late Mildred M. (Haire) Giakoumis.
Connie leaves her daughter, Paula Bernier, and her husband, John, of Webster; her grandson, Jonathan Bernier, and his wife, Amanda; and two beloved great-grandsons, Max and Owen Bernier, all of Brookfield.Two Stepchildren James Murawski of Hartford Ct. and Debra Berthiaume of Webster.
She is predeceased by her second grandson, Ryan Bernier; her brother, Nicholas Giakoumis; her husband, Frank Murawski; and her longtime companion, Maurice "Skip" Earle.
She also leaves three sisters: Helen Nolin of Webster, Carol Zachara of Webster, and Paula and her husband Bob Goddard of Oxford, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Connie was employed by Cranston Print Works as a data entry supervisor at the CPW Headquarters in Cranston R.I. Later, she found joy working with children as an aide at Park Ave. School in Webster, where she was affectionately known by students as "Miss M."
Connie was a friend to all, and to her, everyone was "honey." She was a light-a genuine, kind, and generous soul. Always on the go, she was forever cleaning, tidying, and making sure no one around her ever went without. She loved Sunday drives, going out for breakfast, and taking family trips, especially to Ogunquit, Maine. Above all, Connie cherished her family, and her greatest joy was spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Connie will be remembered for her endless kindness and her comforting presence. Her love will live on through her family, who will always be grateful for her.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11am on Thursday, October 23 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church,16 East Main St., Webster, Mass. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Webster.
Calling hours will be Thursday morning prior to her Mass, from 9 to 10:30am at Bartel Funeral Home, 33 Schofield Ave., Dudley, Mass. In lieu of flowers donations to
