Constance "Connie" Lea Roselius of Stevens Point, WI passed away at home on April 29th, 2025.
Connie was born on April 15, 1954 in Wausau, WI to Richard Abel and Ina Martin. She attended UWSP and was married to John Roselius on May 22, 1976.
Connie worked for many years as an elementary and special education teacher for the Stevens Point Area School District- Roosevelt Elementary, Plainfield Elementary, and St. Adalberts.
Connie is survived by her mother, husband, and three children: Justin (Caralee) Roselius, Tate (Madeline) Roselius, and Kelsey (Douglas) Simon. Further survivors include 7 grandchildren: Austin, Ariya, Brooklyn, Elsie, Harrison, Miriam, and Lilian, 1 great grandchild: Adalyn, Siblings: Richard (Jean) Abel, Cheryl (Robert) Baumgart, Mary Jozwiak, John Abel, Michael Abel, Jennifer (Thomas) Roselius, Brother-in-law: Mark (Steel Adler) Roselius, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister: Peggy and brother-in-law Dick Raasch, father: Richard, in-laws: Harold and Nancy Roselius, and stepfather John Martin.
Connie loved to be outside in the sun and up north at their summer estate at Lake Front in Minocqua. Her greatest lessons were taught outside of the classroom- through her unwavering work ethic, bottomless kindness, and the effortless way she offered encouragement and support to everyone she met. Connie's greatest source of pride was her family and she always made sure they had whatever they needed may it be a warm meal, a hug, a listening ear, or a cheerleader. Her legacy is stitched into every life she touched, and her absence leaves a space no one else can fill.
The family would like to thank Aspirus Oncology, Compassus Hospice services, and the numerous friends and family members who have supported Connie and her family during this difficult time. A special thank you goes to Monica Sankey who was by her side in her final moments, just as she had been through many chapters of Connie's life.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, July 11th at 4 p.m. Bukolt Park. A private family service will take place this summer with details to follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
We plan to honor her life the only way she would want-by helping each other, loving loudly, and showing up, just like she always did.
Mid-Wisconsin Cremation Society is assisting the family at this time. Online condolences can be made at MWCS.WS.

I remember Connie as a happy, go-lucky woman who enjoyed life. I had the pleasure of working with this wonderful lady for many years at Roosevelt School. She was always happy. God bless her and family - she was truly loved!

I worked with Connie at Roosevelt-she was always cheerful, kind, and full of love. Seeing her with her grandkids at the park, you could tell how much they meant to her. She will be missed.
