Constance Jean "Connie" Swan

Constance "Connie" Jean Swan, age 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 2, 2026.
Connie was devoted to her family above all else. She cherished time spent together and took great joy in being surrounded by those she loved. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, and collecting cookbooks, often sharing meals and traditions with her family. Connie was also a dedicated journal keeper, faithfully writing every day for more than 55 years-a mirror of her thoughtful and reflective nature. She especially loved the annual birthday celebration her family held for her, and she could often be found enjoying her favorite programs, especially on Court TV.
Connie worked for many years as a cashier at various pharmacies, where she enjoyed interacting with the public and visiting with her regular customers. She retired in 1996, leaving behind many fond memories and friendships. She will be remembered as loving, funny, and wise.
She is survived by her children, Kevin (Lori Merians) Swan and Christina (Joe) del Rosario; her grandchildren, Derek (Desiree) Swan, Corey (Sarah) Swan, Meagan (Tommy) Fryer, Joshua (Megan) Garlitz, Cody(Olivia Abram-Craig) Garlitz, and Michael (Mackenzie) del Rosario; and her great-grandchildren, Jaedyn, Sophia, Steven, Ella, Jaxon, Gracelynn, Harrison, Billy, and Adaline.
Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Swan, who passed away on August 16, 1970; her parents, John William Wright and Martha Genora Wright; her siblings, Dolores Michnal, Melvin Wright, and Norman Wright; and her children, Diana Swan and Billy Wayne Swan.
A visitation will be held for Connie from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2025, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, MacDonald Chapel, 315 N. Michigan Ave., Howell, Michigan.
