Constance White Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Chatman-Harris Funeral Home East on Jan. 21, 2026.
Constance V. White, lovingly known as Connie, was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Born on March 15, 1956, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Alice Dixon and Edward White, she lived a life marked by love, resilience, and a fiery spirit all her own. On January 6, 2026, after enduring years of pain with quiet strength, Connie transitioned peacefully into eternal rest, surrounded by her family as she answered the call of her Lord and Savior. Connie was a woman of contrast and depth, determined and stubborn, yet kind and caring. Her strong, fiery personality made her unforgettable, but it was her ability to love fiercely that defined her. She cherished time with her family, her animals, playing cards, watching wrestling, her fights (UFC & boxing), and eating crabs. Her laughter was full and contagious, while her mesmerizing green eyes and smile had a way of lighting up any room. Still, she appreciated her quiet time spent alone. Her greatest pride and joy were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. She loved being a mom and embraced her role as a grandmother with boundless affection. Connie also had a soft spot for her animals, her "fur babies", each treated like a cherished member of the family. To know her was to love her, and to be loved by her was to experience something steadfast and unconditional. Connie was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Dixon, and father, Edward White. She leaves behind her children: Sarita Kayode, Trevor McDaniels (Dominic), Curtis Johnson, and Candace Meek; her grandchildren: Antonio Brown Jr., Christopher Brown, Zaria Brown "Tootie", Curtis Johnson Jr. "Baby Curt", and Karim Kargbo "Boo-Boo"; her great-grandchild Emery Brown "Emmy"; her sisters Sandra White, Paula Crest, and Cynthia Brown (Rodney); nieces Shannel Braxton (Paul) and Danielle Dunnock; nephew Tavon Dunnock; special friend Albert Meek "Al" and countless loved ones who will remember her for her realness, her humor, her determination, and her unwavering love. Connie will forever be remembered as a beautiful, spirited, and deeply caring woman who touched the hearts of everyone she encountered. She lived with strength and purpose, and she loved with her whole heart. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit remains a guiding force, and her legacy will continue to shine through the generations she leaves behind. May she rest in eternal peace, forever remembered, forever cherished, and forever loved. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Constance, please visit our floral store.
