Constance Marie Williamson, 74, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois. Connie was born in East St. Louis, Illinois, on September 1, 1951, to John Zajac and Dorothy Henderson Zajac. Connie lived most of her life in Glen Carbon, Illinois.

She attended St. Martin of Tours elementary school and St. Theresa Academy in East St. Louis. In 1971, she married Bill Williamson, and they enjoyed a long, happy life together. Connie’s working life was quite successful. She worked at the Monsanto Krumrich plant in Sauget, Illinois, progressing from plant receptionist to data operator. Connie’s career evolved and she retired from Centene Corporation in Clayton, Missouri, as Medicare coordinator. 

Connie liked gardening, sewing, and baking. She made specialty heirloom children’s garments for her husband’s sister, Tara Williamson Gaugh. She loved animals and had many dogs and cats over the years. She was a member of the Professional and Business Women’s Club in Glen Carbon. She is survived by her sister, Marlene Zajac Branz and her brother John Christopher Zajac. She resided at Benedictine Living Community, The Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows, Belleville, Illinois, for the last three years.

Those who knew Connie will miss her greatly.
