Constance Winter Obituary

Winter, Constance "Connie" (nee McKeone)

December 25, 1926 - December 24, 2025

Baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection, December 24, 2025, age 98. Beloved wife of the late Philip A. Winter; dear mother and mother-in-law of Philip G. (Patricia) Winter, Michael (Andrea) Winter, Thomas (late Denise) Winter, Susan (Bob) Cerwin, Christopher Winter and Phyllis (Michael) Hood; loving grandmother of Meghan (Jake) Norman, Philip (Jenny) Winter, Katie (Tim) Tolle, Colleen (Paul) Stovesand, Mollie (Marty) Thomas, Courtney (Christopher) Miernicki, Caitlin (Mike) McCarthy, Zachary Winter, Tim (Kaylah Brown) Winter, Thomas Winter, Patrick (Jenna) Winter, Madeline (Allen Johanning) Winter, Melissa (Eric) Youngblood, Michael John Hood, Meredith (Coleman) Jett and Anna Hood; dear sister of Pat (late Manny) Monroe and the late William McKeone; our dear great-grandmother of 28, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend.

Connie openly expressed her love for her family and her faith throughout her life. She never hid the immense joy each family member gave her. She was enthusiastically present at sports games, live performances and attended each child's holy sacraments. She cherished every opportunity to serve at Incarnate Word Parish by collecting gifts for those in need, cooking for the St. Patrick's center for the homeless and serving at Westchester Place. Connie was the longest parishioner at the time she left and Bishop Herman said a special mass in her honor. For 36 years, she gifted her time to St. Luke's Hospital with her presence and her smile. She worked in the patient library and then eventually served as a courier - helping transport patients to different parts of the hospital.

Funeral at Incarnate Word Catholic Church, 13416 Olive Blvd. Chesterfield on Tues., Dec. 30 at 10:30 a.m. with visitation at church from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Patrick Center appreciated.

Connie was a beautiful lady inside and out. It was a pleasure to have her as a volunteer at St Luke´s Hospital. She was a breath of fresh air for patients, staff and fellow volunteers.
