Constantine Dascalos Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Washburn-McReavy Funeral Chapels - Eden Prairie on Apr. 11, 2026.
Constantine "Dino" Alexander Dascalos, of Chaska, Minnesota, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on April 9, 2026, at the young age of 25. He was born, along with his twin sister, Zoe Dascalos, on April 23, 2000, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Brenda Meeks and Alexander Dascalos. After graduating from Hennepin Technical College in 2023 with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Graphic Design, Dino worked as a screen print press helper at Signature Concepts in Minnetonka, Minnesota.

Dino's life was a testament to strength, resilience, and joy. Born prematurely at 24 weeks, he faced challenges from the very beginning, yet he never allowed adversity to define him. Instead, he met each obstacle with determination and courage, continually rising above any challenge placed in his path. In his final months, Dino showed that same unshakable spirit as he battled cancer for eight months, demonstrating a bravery that inspired everyone who knew him. The world was truly a better place with him in it.

More than anything, Dino will be remembered for the light he brought into the lives of those around him. He loved people deeply and had a way of making everyone feel seen, valued, and welcome. Whether through his dedication to his work, his commitment to his parish family at St. Mary's Greek Orthodox Church, remembering a birthday, or simply sharing a laugh, Dino's presence left a lasting impact. He had a natural gift for humor and could bring joy even in the most difficult moments. His warmth, faith, and laughter will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love him.

Dino is survived by his mother, Brenda Meeks; his father, Alex (Sandy) Dascalos; his sisters, Zoe and Olivia Dascalos; his stepsiblings, Nat, Andy, and Joel Jacobs; his grandfather, Gerald Meeks; his grandmother, Jeannie Dascalos; his uncle, Brad Meeks; and his cousins, Heather Meeks and Heidi (Grant) Heyman. He is joined in eternal rest by his grandmother, Myrna Meeks; his grandmother, Pauline Phillips; his grandfather, Constantine Dascalos; his uncle, Pericles Dascalos; and his aunt, Cheryl Meeks.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to St. Mary's Greek Orthodox Church where a summer camp scholarship fund will be established in Dino's name. He loved his church and has many lasting memories at church camp that he carried with him until his last moments.

The family also kindly suggests that guests consider wearing shades of blue or gray in honor of Dino's favorite colors.

A visitation will be held at Washburn-McReavy Eden Prairie Chapel, located at 7625 Mitchell Road, Eden Prairie, Minnesota, on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.

A second visitation will be held at St. Mary's Greek Orthodox Church, located at 3450 Irving Avenue South, Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with a funeral service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a luncheon and celebration of life.

May his memory be eternal.

I'm so sorry to hear about Dino. I enjoyed getting to know him in class and teaching him. He always had great questions and enjoyed learning. His easy smile and laugh will be greatly missed. I feel blessed to have gotten to know him if only for a short time.
