Cora Sucher Jacobsen Izatt, 95, passed away on Sep. 23 following a short illness. She was born Dec. 17, 1929 in Rigby, Idaho to Ralph Gerald Sucher and Cora Augusta Crocheron. She was the fifth of nine children. On Nov. 6, 1946, Cora married Darrel Jacobsen who passed away in 1992. The couple were blessed with six children; Bob (Gloria) Jacobsen, Kathy (John) Poulsen, Patti (Nolyn) Johnson, Ron (Vickie) Jacobsen, Sandy (Kevin) Davis, and Paul (Mindy) Jacobsen. Bonus sons, Rebluud Kesolei and Harvey Olsingch, came to live with Darrel and Cora after the couple served a mission in Palau. Cora had many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She married Ralph Izatt on Nov. 1, 1997 increasing the size of her family.

Cora's life was full of adventure – not always her choosing. She moved over forty times during her life. She made new friends with every move. Her motto was, "Home is where you are, and beauty is what you look for." She lived and loved to serve. If she saw a need, she met it, not waiting to be asked. When someone stopped by unexpectedly, she always pulled together a great meal for them. In her later years, when asked how she was doing, she would reply, "Doing a hundred." Her beautiful smile made even strangers feel comfortable with her.

Cora was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities over the years. She and Darrel served proselyting missions in Palau and Hawaii, and temple missions in New Zealand and Chicago. They also served as temple workers in Dallas and Idaho Falls, and Cora served in the Provo temple. Additionally, Ralph and Cora served as temple workers in Mount Timpanogas and Idaho Falls. She was a great example of living what she believed.

Cora was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Darrel Jacobsen and Ralph Izatt; sons Bob Jacobsen and Rebluud Kesolei; son-in-law John Poulsen; daughter-in-law Mindy Jacobsen; great grandson Jesse Dalling; brothers Wayne Sucher, Don Sucher, Floyd Sucher, Darrel Sucher, and sisters Doris Lee and Sue Hadley.
