Cora Beth Trout Johnson, 71, of Marion, passed away Friday, December 12, 2025.
A native of Illinois, Cora was born in Eldorado on November 19, 1954 to the late Clement Paul Trout and Wanda Nelson Trout.
Cora’s career as a registered nurse was marked by her unwavering commitment to her patients. Her compassion extended beyond her professional life, as she previously volunteered with various animal causes, showcasing her profound love for all animals. Cora’s cat, Roxy, held a special place in her heart.
In her early years, Cora found joy in playing tennis. As the years passed, she embraced new interests, enjoying bird-watching, watching westerns, and indulging in arts and crafts. Shopping was another passion of hers, where she often delighted in finding the perfect gifts for her loved ones.
Cora moved to North Carolina to be with her grandchildren. Among her proudest accomplishments were the moments spent with her family, and especially the joy she derived from her grandchildren. The time spent together was a source of immense happiness for Cora, who cherished every opportunity to create lasting memories with them.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Laura Lou Trout and George N. Trout (Nancy).
