Cora JONSEN Obituary
Cora's family are sad to announce her passing into a peaceful sleep at age 92.
Cora was raised in Ontario, and spent most of her life raising her children in Ucluelet, B.C. Her final days were spent in Nanaimo, where she enjoyed many family and friends, happily serving them pancakes and waffles, with whipping cream and fruit. Cora loved her flowers and bird watching, which her son Reg cheerfully supplied with fresh flowers and many pounds of bird seed to fill the bird feeders he brought for her to view outside her window, right up to her last days. She had a firm belief in the resurrection to life in a Paradise on earth to come, this kept her in a positive frame of mind.
Cora Leaves behind, Reginald (Wanda) of Nanaimo, Diana (Darryl) of Devon, AB, Richard (Socorro) of Richmond, Audrey (Doug) St. Albert, AB; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; her brother Leonard and sister Roberta both of Ontario, also many, many nieces and nephews.
Her family and friends have had a memorial service for Coras' life on Saturday, February 16, 2013. We wish to thank Wexford Creek for their dignified and respectful care of Cora the past 5 years and the many friends and family who took the time to say hello and show love to her in all her many years, of life.
