Cora Frances "Miles" Smith

Cora "Frances" Miles Smith, 87, of Dillwyn, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 14, 2026. She was born on June 28, 1938, in Buckingham County and was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Miles and Cora Shumaker Miles, and her husband of 49 years, Jessie Smith. She was also predeceased by her son-in-law, Judson Larry Jamerson, and her daughter-in-law, Renee Whaley Smith.

She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Jamerson, and four sons: Bobby Smith (Fonda), Donald Smith (Dawn), Dennis Smith, and Bruce Smith. She had nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was the last sibling in her family. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She leaves behind a legacy of love, family and faith.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 1 PM, and the funeral service will follow at 2 PM at Dunkum Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Jones Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. A Reception will follow at the family home: 2779 Trents Mill Road, Dillwyn.
