Cora Wilkinson Obituary

Cora Louise Wilkinson, "Lou" as she was lovingly called, died July 6, following a medical procedure.
She was born September 27, 1932 to Walter & Maude Town in Newton County. She spent her younger years in Newton County, Arkansas. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Jasper. After graduating Jasper High School she married Duke Wilkinson and they moved to San Diego.
She spent her adult life living in Southern California with summers back to her beloved parents, sisters and brother in Arkansas. Louise was very active in PTA and enjoyed her neighborhood friends in California. She enjoyed music nights with Duke and their friends in Jasper and in California. She raised her two children in California, Jim Wilkinson and Pamela Wilkinson Mangola.
Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Duke Wilkinson, her mother & father, Maude & Walter Town, her brother James Marion Town and her sister Ellen Marie McMillan.
Survivors include daughter Pamela (Dennis) Mangola of Queen Creek, Ariz., son James (Janae) Wilkinson of Corona, Calif., and sister Elsie McDowell of Independence, Mo. Survivors also include grandchildren Amie (Jose) Soler, Adam (Ella) Oswalt, Austin (Jacklyn) Oswalt, Eddie (Destiny) Wilkinson, several great grandchildren including Juliette, Declan, Emma and Sophia Soler; Dominick and Elle Wilkinson; Olivia and Cora Oswalt as well as several nieces and nephews. Lou was a cook and she liked to talk.
