Corazon Antazo Coligado ("Cora")

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Corazon Antazo Coligado, affectionately known as "Cora," age 76 of Indian Land, South Carolina. She passed away peacefully on Monday, February 24, 2025, in
Charlotte, North Carolina. A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at St. Matthew Catholic Church from 10:00AM -10:45AM, the reading of the Eulogy will begin at 10:45AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00AM. An Inurnment Service will be held at a later date at The Basilica of St. Mary in Alexandria, Virginia.
Born on March 5, 1948, in the Philippines to Primitivo and Gavina (nee Lobarbio) Antazo, Cora was a passionate and dedicated educator, traveler and above all, a loving family member. For nearly 30 years, she lived in New Rochelle, New York with her husband where they raised their children and lovingly cared for their children's grandparents.
She earned her Bachelor's degree in Education from the National Teachers College in the Philippines and went on to have a fulfilling career. Cora was an elementary school teacher and later served as the Department Head at Trinity University of Asia. She later transitioned into the fashion industry, where she worked as a Commissions Analyst for Bally, Inc.
After a long career, Cora retired in North Fort Myers, Florida, where she devoted herself to her family, her faith, and her passions. Gardening, traveling, and cooking were some of her greatest joys. Cora was also known for being an avid shopper, and her trips were always successful in finding treasures!
Above all, Cora's life was centered around her deep faith and love for her family. A devout Roman Catholic, she was a faithful parishioner at St. Therese Catholic Church in Florida.
Cora is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Wilfredo Coligado, with whom she shared many wonderful and adventurous years. She is also preceded in death by her son-in-law Patrick, granddaughter Claire, and sister Fidela.
She is survived by her children: son Victor (Apple), son Christopher (Marichelle), and daughter Gladys "Joy." She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, John and Kaye, and her sisters, Amelia, Caridad, and Arsenia.
