Corbin Alexander Rose, 25, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at his residence in Fishersville.
He was born on September 12, 2000, in Fishersville to Dana Cook and Troy Rose.
Corbin graduated from Fort Defiance High School in 2018 and then went on to serve in the United States Navy.
He truly loved the outdoors, especially hiking and spending time in nature. He also enjoyed sports, particularly basketball and baseball.
Corbin was a member of the Staunton-Augusta YMCA and an avid runner who was training for a marathon.
He was also a faithful member of Bridge Christian Church in Fishersville.
In addition to his mother, Dana Elaine Cook (Matt); his brother, Brocc Zwart; his nanny, Donna W. Cook; his uncle, Donny Cook (Amy) and their children, Chase Cook and Colin Cook (Ashante); his great-uncle, J. D. White, Jr. (Lisa); his great-aunt, Sonya Davis (Leo); his cousins, Jason White (Danielle) and their child, Luna, Adrienne Davis, Jessica White and her children, Keelan and Bailey, and Amanda Roddy (Lauren) and their child, Rosalynn.
He was preceded in death by his great- grandparents, Joseph D. and Elsie M. White.
A memorial service will be held at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton which will be announced at a later date.
