Mr. Cordell Capers

I've known Cordell for many years since I was 16.
He's always kept in touch over the years. I spoke to him just last month, so my heart is truly saddened to hear of his passing. My heart and prayers goes out to his family and his children. May the Most High's sweet Holy Spirit continue to comfort you all during this difficult time. Remember to draw strength from one another. Rest Peacefully my friend

I cannot convey how deeply I feel for the Capers family during this time. Cordell Sr. has been a part of my life since Cordell Jr. was born. He is an exceptional father who cared for his family and loved everyone unconditionally. Cordell raised wonderful children and grandchildren who reflect his legacy. He will be profoundly missed.

Sending my deepest condolences to the capers family I met cordell about 13yrs ago i have witnessed cordell Achieve many things in the past 13yrs what ever cordell put his mind to do he achieve it my friend u will truly be missed you are in a better place now

I had spoken to Cordell about three weeks ago and he was emotional. He spoke about being with Auntie Irene L. Capers and how he enjoyed helping her. Cordell had taken Auntie Irene to the doctor and was installing a TV for her.

Cordell is now with our ancestors and no longer bound by the values of this world. Thank God he was here for a while because he was determined to be an asset to his family.

Cordell Capers you can now rest in peace!!! Hopefully we will realize that that Love is the greatest gift we can share with each other.

I´ve known Cordell since I was 16, and from the start, he always made me feel like part of the family. He even offered me his last name several times-insisting it was connected to greatness.

Remembering Cordell means thinking of him every time I see the Philadelphia Eagles, eat a Philly cheesesteak, watch The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, hear about the Liberty Bell, or honestly, anything Philly-related-because he never let anyone forget where he was from. And of course, I can´t leave out those nasty Reese´s Cups he loved so much, because peanut butter and chocolate will never go together.

Most of all, remembering Cordell is seeing him reflected in his children-their free spirits, laughter, hustle, creativity, and yes, that signature stubbornness. Through them, a piece of him will always be near.

I will always cherish the memories we´ve made through the years and you will forever have a place in my heart, until we meet again

I met Cordell nine years ago, and in that short time, I witnessed him achieve greatness in everything he pursued. Cordell was one of the kindest and most generous men I´ve known. His infectious laugh could fill any room, and his presence brought life and joy wherever he went.
To his children - please know that every move Dad made and every decision he took was guided by his love for you. He cherished you deeply and was so proud of each of you.
I pray that God continues to strengthen you in this time of sorrow and whispers peace into the spaces where your hearts ache.

My condolences to the ENTIRE Capers family. My heart has been heavy since I heard but my prayers have been constant. Please know Cordell was one of a kind and his passing has impacted so many. His decades of friendship has given me a lifetime of memories and my love and admiration for him is unmatched. Thank you all for sharing your wondaful father with all of us.
