Cordie E. Croft, 85, of Hopkinsville, KY passed away at 9:00 a.m. Monday, November 3, 2025, with his wife by his side.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Kentucky Veteran's Cemetery West. Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Hopkinsville is assisting with arrangements.

A native of Dawson Springs, KY he was born May 4, 1940, the son of the late Charles Edward Croft and Ethel Marie Croft. He served his country in the Army as a military policeman for 20 years. After his time in the military, he continued to work in law enforcement as an officer with the Hopkinsville Police Department for 20 years, as well as working as the chief bailiff with the Sheriff's Department for eight years. Mr. Croft enjoyed working with his tractor and keeping up his garden. He enjoyed spending time with his dogs: Bo and Ben, as well as his church family. He was a Sunday school teacher at Kelly Baptist Church and always made time for studying his Bible. He loved his Brothers in Arms and his neighbors. His loving presence shall be deeply missed.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his two sisters.

He is survived by his wife: Kathleen Croft of Hopkinsville, KY; his brother-in-law: Andrew Hankins of NJ; his son: William Croft of TN; his daughter: Paula Croft of TX; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
