Corey Bushman Obituary
Corey Bushman
July 8, 1982 - August 31, 2025
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Corey Michael Bushman on Sunday, August 31, 2025. Corey was born July 8th, 1982, and had recently celebrated his 43rd birthday. He was born in Billings, MT, to Eric and Victoria Schaff Bushman. He was the oldest of 4, two brothers, Matthew and Chad, and a sister, Jillian.
He attended Billings Catholic schools with a brief stint at Canyon Creek School. He and his siblings grew up southwest of Billings and enjoyed all country living had to offer.
After graduating from Billings Central in 2000, he attended MSU Bozeman as well as MSU Billings. Corey began working in the family business at a young age. At the time of his death, he was a partner in Billings RV Inc. Corey knew almost everything about RVs. He was a Master Certified RV Technician and was currently acting as Sales Manager.
Corey was one of the most fun-loving people on earth. Whether it was laughing and joking with coworkers or spending time with his friends and family, Corey always had a smile that was larger than life. Corey had a knack for touching people's lives. Everyone he met inevitably became his friend. We don't know anyone who didn't enjoy his company. He was quick with a joke, always wore a smile, and had a million stories to tell.
Corey loved catfishing and participated in numerous tournaments across the state. He was very competitive and critical of himself on his results, but was always the first to bring out the positive in the situation. Everyone he competed with loved fishing with Corey.
Corey's willingness to help anyone out with anything they needed was unmatched. Whether you needed to be pulled out of a mudhole, a ride to the airport, or a shoulder to lean on, Corey was there, no questions asked.
Corey's activities outside of work included goose hunting, bowling, and spending time with his lifelong friends, many of whom he had known since childhood. From his hunting trips to Canada, fishing trips in Mexico, to sporting event trips, he was always up for anything and brought tons of laughs and great company.
If you were to ask Corey what his greatest accomplishment was, he would, without hesitation, say his sons, Carter and Max. Corey loved to follow them to all their sporting events and sometimes coached them as well. Corey loved to cook and enjoyed family meals together, and was not afraid to try something new. They enjoyed playing video games together, bowling, and taking trips to the family cabin. Corey taught them how to hunt and fish, and did it often. They were best friends in every way.
Corey was a big, bright, shining light that burned out too soon. The world was a better place with Corey in it. So, goodbye for now, Corey. The angels led you home to your heavenly father, and he was waiting for you.
Survivors include his parents, his brother Matthew (Tara), his niece Sofia, his sister Jillian (Brandon) Duffey, and nephews Caleb and Aiden. Grandparents, John and Carol Schaff, 29 aunts and uncles, and 38 cousins.
Corey was preceded in death by his brother Chad, his uncle Jim Schaff, and his grandparents Hazel and Don Bushman.
Donations may be made to an account at Western Security Bank for the Bushman Family Testamentary Trust for the benefit of Corey's children, Carter and Maximilian Bushman.
