COREY LASHON JACKSON, aka "BLACK and BAD MIND" born on October 25, 1976, in Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away on December 16, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. He leaves behind a legacy etched in the hearts of those he cherished and the many lives he touched with his vibrancy and spirit.
A proud member of the Class of '95, Corey embraced life with an unyielding passion. Known for his sharp wit and humor, he combined a heart of gold with an insatiable love for his family—these attributes became the hallmarks of his presence. His indomitable spirit was marked by a charismatic personality, reflecting a complexity that was equal parts high-strung and deeply loving.
Corey was an exceptional cook, a true foodie who not only reveled in culinary delights but also enjoyed sharing them with family and friends. His kitchen was a haven where delicious meals came together, creating memories that will forever fill the hearts of his loved ones. Beyond cooking, he found immense joy in spending time with his children, Jase and Za'Coria Jackson. His devotion as a husband to his beloved wife, Brittany, defined him as a great provider, earning the respect and admiration of all who knew him.
In the fabric of his life, Corey wove laugh lines and loving moments alongside the sincere connections he forged with those around him. He is survived by his wife, Brittany; children, Jase and Za’Coria; mother, Yvonne Jackson; and siblings, William Michael Jackson and Kim Jackson Charoenpon. Each of these relationships tells the story of a man who loved fiercely and lived passionately.
Corey is also survived by his memories of dear siblings who preceded him in death, George Jackson and Jamie Jackson, and his father, George Jackson. Their absence marks a void that resonates through the family, yet Corey's love binds them together still—a testament to the familial bonds that transcend the veil of life and death.
As family and friends prepare to honor Corey's beautiful life, the viewing will take place on December 27, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, followed by a Celebration of Life from 3:00 PM. The address for both services is 4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75224.
In this moment of remembrance, we reflect on a life well-lived—a life that offered laughter, love, and an example of unwavering dedication to family. Corey Lashon Jackson will be greatly missed but fondly remembered, forever living on in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him.
