Mr. Corey Lamont McDaniel passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025, in Saginaw, Michigan. He was born on December 7, 1991, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Desma D. Reynolds and Gwendolyn M. Hickman.
Corey was a lifetime resident of Saginaw, Michigan, and was educated in Carrollton and Saginaw Public Schools. He was previously employed by Vlasic Pickle Factory. Corey’s greatest joy was spending time with his children. His heart was sweet and as beautiful as gold. Corey’s beautiful eyes and bright smile would light up any room he entered. He loved and held his family very close to his heart. Corey loved to laugh and crack jokes. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memory, five daughters and one son: Corey L. McDaniel Jr., Journey, Malasia, Stormii, and Karma McDaniel, all of Saginaw, Michigan; Avah Dominquez (special daughter), also of Saginaw, Michigan. Corey will be missed by his grandparents, Marian Hickman, Bettie Martin, Barbara Hickman, and Willie Lee (Carrie) Whitley. His memory will be treasured by his sisters: Katrina McDaniel and Tonea Vaughn of Rock Island, Illinois, Deesmanesha, Desmianna, Shadesma, and Desmariah Reynolds of Saginaw, Michigan, and Desmashon Reynolds, Flint, Michigan; three brothers: Corrie Aldridge, Desmon and Desma Reynolds Jr., Saginaw, Michigan; nephews, Kortez Jackson, Rock Island, Illinois, Ky’Aire Barnes and Corrie Aldridge Jr., Saginaw, Michigan; aunts, Diana Hickman, Tiamara, Timika, and Chontonya Reynolds, Kimara Burnside, and Angela Hickman, all of Saginaw, Michigan; uncles, David Hickman, Rock Island, Illinois, Johnathan Hickman, Saginaw, Michigan, and John W. McDaniels; many cousins including Diallo Hickman, Derricka Thompson, Domineka Donald, and Jermisia Clark. Corey will be affectionately remembered by many other relatives and friends including special friends: The Dominquez family, Biannca Dominquez and Desha Bradley (mothers of his children), Sammie Boone, Marko Cope, and Micheal Sanchez, De’Varion Reynolds, Eric Floyd, and Quinesha Burnside; many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends including Lamont Robinson.
Corey was preceded in death by his grandfather, Johnnie B. Hickman; great-grandmothers, Susie M. Moore and Bessie Hickman; great-great-grandmother, Corina Phillips, and many other family and friends.
