Corey Schlier Obituary
Corey R. Schlier Sr., 55, of Water Street, Lansford, died early Monday morning, Dec. 1, 2025, in the St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Sally (Zawaly) Schlier since Sept 1, 2011.
Born in Lehighton, he was a son of the late Earl Sr. and Doreen (Hettler) Schlier.
Corey worked as a fuel oil and tri-axel dump truck driver for many years. He was known as the best scrap metal hauler and recycler in the greater Carbon area.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a son, Corey R. Jr., and his wife, Elizabeth, of Coaldale; seven grandchildren, Michael and wife Chloe, LeRoy, Gage, Kayden, Katelyn, Corey III and Tamra; two great-grandchildren, Isabella and Everly Rose; sisters, Kelly Schlier-Bowman and companion, Scott Easterday, of Coaldale; brothers, Earl Schlier Jr., and wife, Lisa Fairchild, of Lehighton, and Troy Schlier, and his wife, Ann Marie, of Weatherly; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also predeceased by sisters, Sheila in 2016, and infant Coleen.
Service: Funeral service at convenience of family. Future Interment, Packerton Cemetery, Beaver Street, Mahoning Twp. Arrangements by Campton Funeral Home, Palmerton. Contributions in his name may be made to the Carbon Co. Animal Shelter, 63 Broad St., Nesquehoning, PA 18240. Online condolences can be offered at www.schislerfuneralhomes.com.

Cory was an amazing cousin. There was a time we didn´t agree on everything but we out the past in the past. His auto body skills were unmatched. He could fix anything. Cars, trucks, HVAC, furnaces, lawn mowers, tractors, etc. He was a true man´s man. Always checking in with me and how my dad was doing. Just talked to him recently and caught up on things that were happening. He loved his family. He could be stubborn but that was in the blood. However, at the end of the day he´d give the shirt off his back. Proud to be your Cuzo! Rest easy my friend, until we meet again!! Lobe ya Cuzo!
