Corey was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Sabrina Simmons; his wife, Sheryl Sinclair; and his sister, Kimberly Ann Armstrong.
He is survived by his father, William Hayes Melvin; his two brothers, Byron O. Simmons and Gregory A. Simmons; and two sisters-in-law, Renamae Nowlin-Simmons (wife of Byron) and April Simmons (wife of Gregory).
Corey leaves behind his beloved children: Tashae Simmons (daughter), Donavan Garcia (son), Ajani Simmons (son), Mariah Grimes (daughter), Saemyriah Grimes (daughter), two step-sons, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, uncles, and aunts who will forever cherish his memory.
