Corinne Stuart Cowan, 61, of Corpus Christi, Texas made her way to heaven on July 4, 2024, while in the comfort of her home. She knew her fate was close as she battled cancer and struggled with a heart condition for the last 20 years. Corinne was born on April 10, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois to Edwin and Irene Stuart. In 1982, Cor moved to Texas where she met Dan the Man, and the rest is history! Together they've enjoyed saltwater fishing, traveling, and building a beautiful life together.
Comfortingly, she reminded us she had lived a full life, and was at peace with going home to Jesus, to once again hold her most recent grandson, Braxton Blair Cowan. She is also preceded in death by her parents Irene & Edwin Stuart, grandmother, Victoria Lekan & grandfather, Edwin Stuart. Corinne is survived by her husband Daniel Blair Cowan Jr, her daughter Kristin Lynn Taylor (Richard), her son Cody Daniel Cowan, and her two cherished grandchildren, Carter and Elizabeth Taylor. Also, by her 4 siblings, Mark Stuart (Julie) of Illinois, Jackie Stuart Brown, Kelly Rumfield (Lewis), and Randall Stuart (Melissa) all of Corpus Christi, Tx, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors to which she all adored. She loved passionately and was always the life of the party. She was playful and quick-witted and spent most of her days making sure to laugh with those around her.
In true Cor fashion, she requested a happy remembrance of her life. We will honor her at 3:00pm on July 12, 2024, at Sawyer George Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, Tx, with fellowship to follow at S&J Bakery, a family favorite, to reminisce and support one another on the loss of such a wonderful lady.
