Corinne T. Peterson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Corinne "Cor" T. Peterson, who left us peacefully on November 25, 2025, at the age of 88. Cor was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Peterson and a cherished sister to Janet Dubick and the late Laurae Kessler. She was a loving aunt to Susan (Mark) Freeburg, Frank (JoAnne) Mutz, Scott (Aly) Dubick, and Daniel (Vanessa) Dubick, as well as many great nieces and nephews who adored her.

Cor was known for her adventurous spirit and loved traveling both across the United States and internationally. She enjoyed car trips that allowed her to explore and create lasting memories.

Professionally, Cor was a dedicated banker at First National Bank (Chase), a role she truly loved and excelled in, building lasting relationships within her community. Her strong faith guided her life, and she remained an active member of her church, exemplifying her commitment to her beliefs.

In addition to her many passions, Cor found great joy in volunteering at her great-nieces and nephews' school, where she loved reading to them and fostering a love of learning. Cor was also known for her hospitality, often hosting parties that brought family and friends together in celebration.

A celebration of Cor's life will be held Friday December 5, 2025 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 725 75th Street Darien. Family and friends will gather to honor her remarkable legacy with a memorial visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Final resting place will be Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Cor will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her joyful spirit, unwavering faith, and love for her family will forever remain in our hearts.
