A mother of a veteran I can't imagine the pain and suffering Ms. Smith endured let alone not able to confirm. My heart breaks for the many years of loss. As the sorrow never goes away, may the family find some peace that he is now home with those that love and have never forgotten. God Bless you Corporal Smith and may your soul finely find peace. For those that never got to know you, we say Thank you to you and your family for giving the ultimate sacrifice.

Although I never met my uncle, I feel like I know him being raised by his brother and mother, my father and grandmother. I grew up knowing stories of my uncle Eddie and his picture has always been out. We are blessed as a family to welcome Eddie home after 74 years. Below is a pic of Eddie and his mother, my Nana.

Sir,
Although I never knew you,
Not once had ever met,
Your and others´ sacrifice
I never will forget.

Look upon and pray for us
from your special place in heaven
God Bless you
