Corrine Bastarache Obituary

Corrine Gail (Spinney)(Oak) Bastarache, 71
1953 - 2025
Derry, NH and Formerly of Lynn, MA - Corrine Gail (Spinney)(Oak) Bastarache, of Derry, NH, passed to her Lord and Savior in the early morning hours of Thursday, January 2nd, 2025, after a lengthy battle with a chronic illness. Born in Lynn, Massachusetts, on September 18th, 1953, Corrine was a loving daughter to Jane Spinney and the late Alfred Spinney. A Lynn, MA native, Corrine attended St. Mary's High School and was a proud graduate of the Class of 1971. She was a dedicated student who graduated with a nursing degree from the Lynn Hospital School of Nursing.
Corrine leaves behind her husband of 20 years, Paul Bastarache and is survived by her four loving children, Shannon Oak Calabro and her partner Gerald Bourke, Courtney Oak Ashwood and her husband Scott Ashwood, Hillary Oak Benson and her husband Ernest Benson, and Ryan Oak and his wife Chrissy Oak. Together with her former spouse, Lawrence J. Oak, they enjoyed doting on their ten grandchildren, Joseph, Jacob, Jordan, Jackson, and Julia Calabro, Lyla and Noah Ashwood, Cullin, Cole, and Sadie Oak. Corrine cherished her close relationship with her two sisters, Irene Appe of Rye, NH, and Kathleen Connolly and her husband Mark Connolly of Hampstead, NH. She also leaves behind her four nieces and one nephew and was predeceased by her nephew Sean Baker.
Connie will best be remembered for her intelligent sense of humor and her wealth of random knowledge. A trivial pursuit genius and self-proclaimed Who Wants to be a Millionaire whiz, stumping Connie was next to impossible. With her quick wit and her contagious laugh, she was always a presence to be reckoned with. While her personality has left a mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her, Corrine's greatest accomplishment and source of deep pride will forever be her strong faith and her loving family.
Service Information: Relatives and friends are invited to remember Corrine on Saturday, January 18th, 2025, at the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, 67 Ocean St. (Rt. 1A), Lynn, MA, from 1p.m. – 3p.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 3p.m. Directions and online guestbook at www.solimine.com

My deepest condolences & sympathies to Corrine´s Family. This obituary saddened me because I went grade school with Corrine. Her picture brought back so many memories of her beautiful smile and her laughter. I am so happy she had a beautiful family and a full filling life. I know she will be missed.
